Remember those Facebook pages you may have ‘liked’ in the past, but then never really interacted with afterwards? Now you must work to not be one of those pages and actively convert the people behind the ‘likes’ into actual fans. With consistency, it definitely isn’t as complicated as it sounds. You have your page, you have an idea of what you want to post, but how can you keep the momentum and pull in people that you can soon convert to fans?

Build genuine relationships

Build a genuine relationship between you and your followers. It can begin with doing something as simple as engaging with your audience. Not only that, but they will be creating a relationship with not only the music but with you as a person. Approach your audience in a relaxed manner and create content that they would want more from.  Provide the audience with some quotes, music, thoughts, and anything that will give them a better understanding of you. Don’t forget to add in some conversation starting posts which would include you asking questions, using polls, dropping content exclusively on Facebook, replying to comments, sending a “thank you” message to those who have shown you support, and more. You want to ensure that your page is one where the audience is always coming back for more.

Build your database

Next, to further your relationship with your audience, and to even keep a count, you can redirect them to a subscription page. There you will be able to collect their information so you can send them updates and more information on you. Facebook offers email list servers such as Aweber, MailChimp, and GetResponse to help users attach an email from right on their Facebook page to get a more clear understanding of your audience. You can also add the “Newsletter” tab to your Facebook which encourages fans to keep up to date with you. What the email servers and “newsletter” tab can do is funnel out the fans who you have already converted from those you have yet to convert and work with both groups as needed. With those you have already converted, you can focus on introducing them more to your content. On the other hand with those followers you haven’t converted yet, you can focus on engaging with them more.

Check your insights

Use the data given to you by social media platforms like Facebook to further understand your crowd and push in the following direction to please your audience. While using that data, make sure to revisit your posts to see which appealed more to fans by checking out which post got the most comments, likes, shares, and more. Facebook has recently raved about the use of HootSuite due to how resourceful it has been with helping in social media management. HootSuite wants to make social media management even more straightforward by allowing you to get more insight on your audience, what the market is like, keeping an eye on streams such as the Newsfeed, Events, Most Recent, and more.

Fans love being apart of a journey full of genuine content. Ultimately, the most optimal way to convert followers into fans is to not let your posts show that you’re eager to only gain ‘likes’ but to show your audience that you are willing to provide content all while building a genuine relationship. Implementing these tips with kindness through your posts will not only leave a mark on your audience but will drive their interest even more.
